Mar 22nd: A GB SELECTION – John Law (Scottish PS)

John’s first round started with competition stamp proofs that could have become the first stamps issued, before the official stamps, penny black, were issued in 1840. He went on to show issues with a variety of colour shades, watermarks and printers. This covered the reigns until end of Queen Victoria.

The second round continued in a similar theme, with George V until Queen Elizabeth. An excellent display of various varieties enjoyed by all members present.
